We have been so lucky to coordinate many events at Alderbrook Resort & Spa over our nearly ten years in business. We have coordinated celebrations there in all seasons. This summer celebration was one of our favorites.
One of my favorite aspects is with many guests staying on site, it's easy to coordinate getting ready. Usually wedding party just walk over from their hotel rooms or cabins, and it's easy to spend a relaxing morning with your closest friends and family.
In the past, Alderbrook has had arbors that they allow couples to use, which can come in handy for ceremony setup. We added some green garland for this celebration.
Alexis and Chris chose not to see one another prior to the ceremony. So they took some individual portraits, as well as photos with their wedding parties, prior to the ceremony, and took the rest of their photos while guests enjoyed cocktails and appetizers on the waterfront lawn.
After photos they rejoined their guests on the lawns before heading into the ballroom for the reception.
Alexis and Chris borrowed our tabletop BAR marquee sign.
Reception Details
We filled in the escort card display with some of our mercury votives.
We were happy to let the couple use one of our silver cake stands for their wedding cake.
They danced the night away with Bugsie Productions
Around 11 o'clock, guests grabbed their S'mores kit favors and enjoyed the Alderbrook fire pits until late in the evening. Manette Gracie Events delivered some local takeout pizza from Shelton and delivered it to the late night party-goers.
